A new day – A new Sci-Fi blog

Since I am trying to relax a bit more I decided to put some effort in writing my Novel. Here is a little snippet that might spark a bit of curiosity

5 December 2014.

It was so cold yesterday that I was freezing my balls off walking back from work. The hail storms and the green rains are making it harder for me to get out of bed everyday but apparently I have to. “Bills need to be paid, mouths need to be fed” was what my dad used to say. My dad slaved away at Sytronics for 34 years before they sacked him in the 2009 depression, 34 years of hard work and his reward was a lousy unemployment scheme that barely feeds him and my mother.

It was little past 8PM when I turned on the television and my first welcome was that of “Sky NEWS – The best news channel for the last decade”, it is interesting how corporations keep on inventing their own awards so they can call themselves the best in something; interesting and very sad I guess.

“Breaking news, the United World Association has discovered various new terrorist cells in The Netherlands, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland"."The CybTer group which has know links with Al-Qaida and is responsible for various crimes against the world has been linked in “.* zap * as I switch of the propaganda box.

After the global meltdown of 2009, the leaders of the rich countries decided to create a single government, a world government of peace and prosperity. Those famous words were spoken by President Obama in December of that year and not even 12 months later it was in place. A so called “yes we can” change for global government.

Meanwhile the markets are still favouring the rich and the creation of a single world government has resulted in terrorist alerts everywhere in the world now. Maybe the World Wide Web has something in store for me, maybe some news about my web decoder I have been waiting for the last 3 weeks. As I open my Gmail box I noticed 1 unread email

“Re: Decoder order”.

Order: 12XAA543-21 has been delivered to Postal box : 2214 in Merrion Delivery station. Access pincode: 1424 needed to accept.

This is just a little snippet of what will be come a 300 page novel (or a lot less ) and since writers can take years and years to write their first book I will have to take my time :D
